Ron and demon!Steph! - Fighting, bad exorcisms, and accidental fires!
For the first time since he had gotten here, Ron felt he was more at home than ever. The chaos, the bloodshed, the sheer madness of everything that was going on right outside of the complex walls; Ron couldn't pretend that every single bit of it didn't remind him of the battle he had left behind at home. It was far from a friendly reminder, but it was indeed a reminder all the same. It left Ron with that wonky feeling in his stomach. The one that made him constantly feel like he was going to hurl, though his body downright refused to let him. It was a constant, never-ending wave of sick and it was only going to get worse and worse as the insanity wore on. They were at war. Their enemies were literally pounding at their front doors and all they could do was fight back. Surely, if they refused, they would die. Ron was a funny sort of Gryffindor. He was both brave and cowardly all at once. Running from his frustrations and fears, yet turning right back around and fighting it all with everything he had because he knew that it would keep his family and friends safe. He didn't know if that genuinely counted as bravery - it wasn't like he was Harry or anything - but it certainly had been good enough for the Sorting Hat. And it was going to have to do for now with the demons attacking. He couldn't say that he'd make much of a difference out there, but Ron was going to give it all that he had. Insane or not, this battle was his to fight. He had been brought here, he had people he cared for out there, and even though the idea of running out there downright terrified him, Ron knew that it was what he had to do.
That didn't mean he had to like it.
Wand at the ready, Ron broke out into the field. Er, street, if one wanted to be all specific and technical-like. He cast a somewhat effective stunning hex at a demon in passing, then froze on the spot when he noticed Stephanie standing up ahead with that Jacen fellow. The one who had been trying to blast their doors in, that was. Was she in trouble? She certainly didn't look like she was in trouble. No, not at first. Yet when Ron forced himself closer, he noticed that there was something terribly off about her behavior.
All kinds of pain and screaming for our entertainment.
Ron forced his wand in front of him. Steph was possessed. She was possessed! And that meant that he had to save her. He, Ron Weasley, and not anyone else. Because he was the only one standing there and aware of how terribly wrong Stephanie Brown was right now.
