WHO: Marian and OPEN WHAT: Reading up on various things. Mostly first aid topics WHEN: Early Afternoon WHERE: The Complex Library STATUS: Incomplete
Marian ran her fingers over the few books in front of her, sighing softly. She had to learn what she could on what she could do to help if anything bad did happen. And at the moment she couldn't help but think that was very much likely to happen. And if it did happen and the fight that they were preparing for occurred then the least she could do would be to know how to help if people got hurt. She couldn't fight, she knew she couldn't. Her hand drifted to her pretty much flat stomach, a tiny curve there but nothing noticable to anyone other than her and Robin. She had to wonder if that was good or bad, at least it meant that not too many people were aware of the baby and during this sort of crises the less awareness of it the better. And after Quinn telling her that people shouldn't be told before she was twelve weeks, well, she found herself wondering if there was a good reason for it. Maybe it would just tempt fate too much.
Lifting her hand from her stomach, she picked up one of the books on first aid. It was a bit basic, but it was better than nothing. At least she would have a bit of knowledge on what to do if she ever found herself having to look someone over and help if they get injured. She knew some things already from home but things had changed now, the way to deal with injuries had changed. Before it would be find whatever needle you could and sew it up, and if it wasn't a wound then you bandaged up as well as you could and try and get a physician to do the rest. But here there was so much more that could be done and if Marian could find these out and then learn, then she would definitely do so. She wanted to help in any way she could if ever the need came about.
