Who: Vi and Jacen
Where: The address he gave her
When: After the comm post
What: Something's not quite right
Rating: TBD
Status: Incomplete

It didn't take a prophetic dream to tell her something was off. There was an uneasy feeling in the bottom of her stomach as she shut the lid on the laptop and rose from her seat. Jacen asking for help, Jaina's implications. Yeah, something was definitely wrong and if she could help set it right, she'd help him out. Nevermind the suddenly complicated...nevermind. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail, pulled on her sneakers and coat, and started loading up with weapons. Two knives, a bottle of holy water, her cell phone. She ran over their positions in her mind, fingers brushing to make sure she knew where they were if it came down to a fight.

With a Jedi. She was halfway across the parking lot before she thought about checking Wikipedia, but wasn't sure if there had been any time. The less lightning flying around downtown Lawrence, the better. And she'd been training with Jacen. Hopefully confrontation just wasn't going to be necessary.

As Vi approached the address that he'd given her, the uneasy feeling in her stomach was only getting worse. She slipped one of the knives from its hiding place and into her coat sleeve, feeling a little more comfortable with it right at hand. Moving into the park, she glanced around, looking for Jacen.

"Fine," Vi snapped, barely giving him time to finish his thought. "Fine, I get it. I'm substitute person but that doesn't mean I'm going to accept you as Jacen, because you're not. No matter how much you talk or offer to tell me the truth, which you probably would if it suited you, you're not him. You're the demon riding shotgun." Put that way, it did sting. Knowing that it was possible someone hung out with her just because she reminded them of someone else. "I'd rather be annoyingly heroic than just another minion of evil."

Struggling wasn't getting her anywhere. If anything, it was straining her shoulder in a way that could be problematic if she pushed the wrong way. With one last sharp shrug, she looked over her shoulder at him. "Should I know who Meg is?" she asked, her attention suddenly captured. It hadn't occurred to her that this was part of something bigger, but it made sense. Things had been way too quiet while they waited to hear if Lilith had broken any more seals, getting closer to -

"What?" she demanded. "Come on, I'm the distraction. Obviously expendable once you get what you want. What things in motion?" It was worth a shot.

Now how to describe Meg. Did he even want to? "She's...got a bit of history with those Winchester boys. But as for telling you, not just yet. You'll figure it out in time because we don't have long to wait now. Oh no no... And you'll have a prime seat. Best in the house" The demon had to admit he was highly amused with the concept of what was to come next. They'd line them all up, knock them down and Lucifer would be risen. And then he'd get to keep his Sith Lord, walk around with the power of a God and it'd be like that forever. It would be everything he had ever dreamed of. All those rewards. Everything, and him and his sister would do so well out of it. They were practicly the generals. They weren't bait like Vi had said. They were so much better than that. They were chosen to have that kind of power at their fingertips.

And Vi. Oh he'd figure out what to do with her then. Maybe she'd grow to realise he was a better Jacen than Jacen could ever be. "I'm not gonna tell you the plan. I've heard that didn't end well for Azazel, all the exposition thing. I'm not gonna do that. Instead I'm gonna let you sleep now, let you rest and believe me I am gonna tie you up. I don't much care if you're concious when you do it.

"Alright distraction. Time for sleep" he said pushing the choke hold just a little bit more, just enough to get her unconcious.

This was becoming one of those times where her misses far outranked her hits, like when she'd first started training with her Watcher and he'd started her on target practice with the crossbow. That poor rabbit never stood a chance. But unlike that time, this time was a matter of life and...well, death wasn't immediate but pain could have been. She needed to get back to the others, tell them what was going on. Something! Not sit here and debate the nature of possession with the Jacen wannabe demon.

"This is one event where I don't want the best seat but thanks for asking," she said, her scowl deepening as he breezed past her attempt to get a plan out of him. The bad guys always had to brag! Why wasn't he bragging? Her head whipped around, frustration momentarily forgotten when he mentioned sleep. "What? Slee-"

The rest of the word never made it as it grew harder to breathe. Vi leaned forward, trying to suck in a deep breath but it was a losing battle. Stars started to dance in her vision before it grew dimmer and dimmer. By the time she slumped to the pavement, she was out cold.
