This was why she was thankful she'd never read the expanded universe. Never mind the part where she would have found herself suddenly intruding on the lives of very real people but then she would have understood the full meaning behind that comment. Not Tenel Ka, never would be. She wasn't quite sure how to take that. The name had been mentioned once in the entire time she spoke to Jacen, but this was the first time there was that outright comparison.
"No," she said quickly, shaking her head. "We're our own people. Just share a hair color, that's all." That sounded like safe territory to tread on. And why were they having this conversation now of all times? If Jaina was out there, very much upset, wouldn't it have waited until after they'd found her and calmed her down? "Of course, I can. I'm not sure how happy she'll be to see me but I'll help you find h-"
The movement was more automatic response than anything else. As Jacen stepped forward, Vi stepped back. For someone who was worried about his sister, that smile? Didn't look that concerned. Maybe he was the master of hiding emotions. Maybe. But they'd known each other a little too long that he didn't have to do that whole tough guy act. She dropped her arms to her sides, thumbs hooking in the pockets of her jeans. She felt the bottom of the small bottle of holy water in the right pocket, giving it a gentle two finger nudge upward towards her palm. "Let's go," she said, giving him a quick "let's go do this nod" as she took another step back.
