He looked very well. Very changed from who he had been before, less crazed looking. Oh yes he really had been restored and Romana was more than pleased to see the change in him. It was wonderful to see it, really it was, and she felt all the happier about agreeing to his dinner date offer. Not that it was a date. They weren't dating as such. Why her mind had gone there she didn't know and she pushed the thought down lest he glimpse it in her. They couldn't have that. So she stood as he walked toward her to return the hello with an appropriate hug. Not too long, just long enough. And a few compliments. That was all perfectly fine. Perfectly appropriate for two friends...aquaintances meeting for dinner. No. Friends, there was nothing wrong with friends. "You look lovely" she told him breaking back from the hug and beckoning for him to sit down as well as she busied herself with the menu. She wasn't flustered at all, no that would have been terribly embarrassing if she had have been. She was just enjoying her meal with her friend.
That was all this was after all, just a meal with a friend. Not that Leela or Martha would see it like that. They'd hate it and she knew they'd hate it. But all the same, she was here and she wasn't going anywhere. She'd remain here and have food with the Time Lord that had caused her friends so much heartache. The things he'd done, she knew trusting him was a ridiculous concept but still she did, for good or for ill.
He could change, she knew that. He'd been humbled by his experiances and she knew, she truly believed that he'd learned from that. Maybe she was naieve but she couldn't help it. She had to believe the best of the only Time Lord left around her. Because he was one of her people. "Are you feeling completely better?" she asked him as she moved to sit down opposite him.
