The new rules that this world had seemed to change everything about how to hunt. Werewolves were people who couldn't control or even remember their actions during the full moon cycle. At least they weren't ten feet tall, but still... they still looked human. Vampires weren't all that different at least, except for the numbers. Plus the dead man's blood thing was a nice little fact to store away if a vampire became violent. The demons were the part that got to her the most. They were human, so she wasn't going to hurt them, but at the same time, she didn't want to get killed... or worse. The stuff she had to memorize for the demons was so vast that it gave her a brain cramp just thinking about it. The small asian girl sat down on a nearby bench. She wore a tight pink tank top and a black skirt which rested a couple of inches above her knees. Currently she wasn't wearing anything clunky, unless you counted her back pack which she stored things she may need: id, money, two daggers, and the newest addition, a couple bottles of holy water. Leaning back on the bench and looking at the sky, she began wondering what her fellow hunters were doing. Deuce was probably having some fun busting up a vampire nest somewhere, wouldn't that be nice to join in on. Much better than here where almost everything she might hunt could turn out to be someone she was supposed to protect.
"I hate this place. More than Ashcroft, and I really hate Ashcroft," she said out loud. The street was quiet, for the most part. The only thing that disrupted it was a low thumping sound. Kassandra got up and continued walking down the street. She didn't feel like going back to the hotel room right now. Not in this mood, maybe there's a club open where she could go dance at to cheer up. The thumping was steadily getting more pronounced as she continued up the street. It was starting to seem like music now. Deciding that whatever was going on would probably be more fun than wallowing in self pity, she listened closely to the music so she could try and find the source of it.
A few minutes of walking and the source becomes apparent, for a building was lighting up the surrounding area in a multitude of colored lights. Feeling a little more at home, she took the remaining distance at a run. She walked inside, and was immediately offered a few glowing necklaces, bracelets and glowsticks. This was more like it. This was much better than thinking about all the things happening lately. She moved inside to the main room, which had music loud enough to move a drink from one end of a table to the other end. She saw what she figured was the makeshift bar to her left, and decided to go to it for some water. She was a very cute girl, who fit in easily into this scene, so as she walked many guys' eyes were drawn towards her. A few of them she winked at playfully, though she wasn't really interested in hooking up tonight. This night was more about just relaxing and having a good time.
"Can I get a water?" She asked the man she believed to be a bartender. The man wore a loose shirt and had a few earrings across his face. He was one of those guys that Kassandra felt needed to be told no the next time he went to a piercing place.
"Sure thing," he told her. He handed her a bottle of water, which had a slightly pinkish tint to it.
"What's this?"
"Strawberry flavored," he said with a smile on his face.
Kassandra took a sip of it, figured it tasted good enough, but when she looked back over to say thanks, the man had been replaced by someone else. She wondered for a minute if she should actually continue drinking this water, but figured mostly that it was behind the counter to begin with so it was probably fine. Pulling out her blackberry, she checked the message board, just in case something was happening that she should know about. Apparently a new person had shown up. Sam's brother, the other hunter. Seeley was nice too, and he was coming to hang out with her.
Her water was close to being finished by the time she finished speaking to Dean. He seemed nice. Looking around she felt much better now. This was a nice place, and the way the music made her stool shake just a bit was pleasant too. She leaned onto a person's shoulder near her. He had a soft shirt which was lit up by the black lights at the bar. She nuzzled the man's shoulder affectionately.
