Who: Kurt Hummel and Finn Hudson What: Kurt gots a car! Er. Most of a car. When: Evening, February 8th. Where: The parking lot at the complex. Warnings: Er. Probably nothing too bad.
Kurt had been through a couple of pretty productive days at work. The first day being when someone said they had a broken down 1970 Dodge Challenger that they were trying to get rid of, and they were checking with the shops first because they knew it was going to take work to get it running. Because it didn't run at all yet. Well, it would turn on and make noises that cars shouldn't be making in the first place. Luckily, it was in Kurt's price range. So they arranged for the man selling the "car" to bring it up to the shop the following day so that Kurt could look it over, see what he would have to do to it, all of that. Plus, Kurt didn't really have the money to buy it on him that first day. But he had it when the guy came back. So, next thing he knew, Kurt had himself a car.
But it was going to take plenty of work before Kurt would feel comfortable driving it anywhere.
So, that evening, instead of taking the bus from his job at the shop to the stop closest to the complex (which was something Kurt had never wanted to do in the first place, but the shop was too far to walk to in the cold, cold winter) he got one of his co-workers to drive him home in the tow truck, pulling his new car behind him. Once they reached the complex he climbed out, still in his dirty (ew) cover-alls to help guide the driver into a good place to leave the car. Once that was done with he went back to the truck, pulled a box of parts out of the front, and gave the driver a wave as he left.
And yes. He was aware that someone might see him looking like a - shudder - grease monkey. But, there was nothing that could be done to prevent it aside from dashing as quickly as possible up to his apartment and taking a shower. But, that could wait. Kurt wanted to see what he could get done before it got too dark.
