"I've got an image to maintain." His own smirk mirroring Clark's as he looked up and motioned to the empty spot beside him. Only difference was his amusement appeared a little strained. He still wasn't really that comfortable with being known and fictional. It was going to take a while to really sink in he suspected. At first he'd been amused with Dean, but then it went from amusing to weird pretty quickly, and everything else followed in toe. His whole life was out there for everyone to know, and they assumed they knew him because it was written down in ink. He hadn't figured out how to cope with it yet, he put on a strong front but behind closed doors it was different. Stephanie (and probably the rest of the population) knew his future too, so he could understand where Clark was coming from in that regard at least. They both had big shoes to fill. Fortunately Dick for the time being remained ignorant to just how big his were.
Dick couldn't help but to be amused at the simple explanation. He should have expected something like that from Clark farmboy Kent as he often called him back home. "You're really for real, Farmboy." Amused mirth playing on his features, all in the fun. Dick's personality was complicated, but on the surface he was known for his taunting and teasing. "Looks like you and I are opposites. " But what was it they said about opposites attracting? "Stars always meant it was time to clock in and get to work. Between Bludhaven and Gotham all the time, yeah I guess you could call it a bit of a chore." He shrugged and ran a hand through his black hair. His eyes were piercingly blue, but exhausted and almost appearing gray as it caught up to him. "But it was worth it." He made sure to add as he pulled his knee up and rested an arm across it.
"Not today. I decided to spare Babs a heart attack part three." He mused as he watched some of the colors melt and change to others. "I'm not good at staying still. " He admitted. "I don't like being kept in a box." Mentally or physically, he hated it. Dick fidgeted with some of the fabric of his pants. "I haven't slept since I got here. I don't know how anyone can. Too much to do."
