Amy did not seem quite so carefree by the time he was done talking, and Robin wished he had not jumped so quickly into the meat of the matter. But truly, he had thought she would be able to handle it, considering how well she had done thus far, and he was not proven wrong. Her question demonstrated a quick assessment of the matter, and he expected that she would be able to hold her own around here well enough.
"We have no idea when it will happen. People are trying their best to prevent it, but even those with the most knowledge of the situation are concerned. And meanwhile, really, really bizarre things keep happening, angels stick us all in situations which are uncomfortable, at best, apparently so as to teach us lessons..." He trailed off. Those stories could wait, until the basics were discussed.
"And that's not to say we don't find ways to enjoy ourselves. Most of us have regular jobs, and we celebrate the holidays; that sort of thing. But, when things go strange or bad, then they tend to be big."
