Robin suspected that she was humoring him; he could think of no other reason for her to be so thoroughly unconcerned with suddenly being where she did not expect to be. Even people who were more used to the unusual than he had been often had issues with it. Still, he had not gotten to the really odd part yet; but he could answer her question before getting into that. "It's the twenty-ninth of January."
And, then he discovered why she did not seem so worked up. Entertained at the way she mentioned the time machine, he grinned and replied lightly, "No, I didn't know." But his humor quickly faded. "Nice to meet you, too, Amy. But, the thing is, you're probably not in the same world you were before-- time machine or not, it's unlikely that your friends will be showing up, unless they are also brought over. As far as I know, there's no voluntary way to come here."
