WHO: Jason Stackhouse and OPEN
WHAT: Out drinking.
WHEN: Backdated to after dark, January 16th. (Pre-locals turning into The Master)
WHERE: A Local Bar
WARNINGS: I'm sure there's going to be some swearing.
While he didn't do it nearly as often as he used to, Jason Stackhouse sometimes still went on the prowl come night. But these days it amused him more to think of himself as being "on the prowl" than it used to due to the fact that he was, in fact, a panther.
But no one in Lawrence knew that about him aside from Kate. He was pretty damn good at keeping that little fact to himself.
He'd seen that conversation Sam had months back, after all. The one where he said that weres (Sam, for some reason, seemed to think that there were only werewolves. Not the case.) had to be killed no matter what, that there was no reason to let them live because once they shifted they were nothing more than a killing machine. Well, not only was Jason not in a hurry to have the people that randomly showed up in Lawrence turn on him, but Sam was just dead wrong about the weres and shifters. Or, he was wrong about the ones from his world, at least. Jason hadn't ever so much as snapped at a person while he was in his half-man-half-panther form. He was still in full control of herself.
So he'd kept quiet about the fact that he was a pantherman three nights a month. Why the fuck would that be anyone's business around there anyway?
But there it was, one of the other nights of the month where he wasn't going to get all sorts of black fur all over himself, and he was bored. Plus he'd tracked down a job for himself so he had a little extra cash. So, Jason did the thing he would have done back home. Headed out to track down one of the bars he liked so much. He didn't like any of the bars in town quite as much as Merlotte's back home, but that one was out of the question for as long as he was there.
When he got to the second best bar of choice the ID checker waved him in, asking why he hadn't been around in a while. Jason was actually as honest as he could be, saying that he headed home to visit some family, then headed over to the bar and took a seat on one of the stools. He really wanted a beer.
