Martha turned to look over her shoulder when she heard someone speaking to her. The voice wasn't entirely familiar but the accent did give something away. Upon seeing who it was she knew. She'd seen pictures of him in the TARDIS databanks when she'd been looking up information on regeneration after the incident on the S.S. Pentallian. When he'd said that he was going to change and seemed so incredibly frightened about it... and then it didn't happen. While she hadn't understood it at the time, now she did. The old girl had been very helpful. When she left she'd been sad to go, but she'd needed to. And she was certain she'd felt the TARDIS' sadness too.
"Doctor," she smiled slightly. While it was unexpected it was a very pleasant sort of unexpected. She knew that there were some things she couldn't tell him. Her Doctor had drilled into her head the necessity of avoiding paradoxes! - It was good to at least see him in any of his forms. She tried to think of what to say but wound up shrugging slightly. "Been a bit of a hard year... I've had worse, but, in the end its the present that matters," she smiled shaking her head. "But I suppose I should be asking what ypou're doing here. Although you are it seems in the company of peers," there had been quite a few 'doctor' jokes since she'd passed her exams.
