Fred Burkle ([info]notjustageek) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
Investigating new technology, trying to solve the problem of this acquaintance of Romana's, sounded like both a daunting and interesting challenge. It wasn't until her trip to Pylea that Fred had known that magic existed and started to learn the connection between scientific laws and the magical ones. It was fascinating, complex, and going to be very different than the ones she was used to. The technology was from Romana's world and it seemed like the spellwork would be done by the Halliwells. Still, she'd contribute what she could.

After replying to Romana's message, Fred packed a few things that might be useful, just in case, and headed out, to the place that Romana had shown her before. She moved quietly, picking her way towards the meeting place. As it had the first time, her gaze went to the Immortality Gate, still in awe of the technology. The closest she'd seen to something like this was to recoporialize the spirit that had been terrorizing Spike at Wolfram and Hart.

Moving closer, she glanced over at the man with Romana, feeling sympathy for the state he was in. What Romana had described...it was terrible. Hopefully, what they did here would help fix that. "That should be soon," she said with a hesitant smile, catching the end of the conversation.
