She bit her lip, watching him as he closed his eyes. She knew that look, when he was trying to stop doing something he thought might be wrong. But she could tell that he wanted what she did, and for some reason the news that they would be parents in nine months just made her more determined to have him now. And she was lucky enough to have heard gossip from the maids talking to Matilda that it didn't cause any harm as long as they were careful about how they went about it.
