===================
Damien Thorn was in the gym once again, having already come there in the early morning when he woke up today. He had work later on and figured this would be a good time for another workout. He had begun the routines with preliminary exercises as usual. Just some sit-ups, stretches, splits, toe touching, jumping jacks, and maybe some other forms or aerobics thrown in for good measure, doing about twenty to thirty reps for each one. As he performed them, he couldn't help but feel slightly pleased. Several causes to be, he'd thought. He had recently gotten a raise after working for almost four months now. He was actually dating someone and it seemed to be going quite well. And... nothing too unusual had taken place for him lately. No kidnapping, attacks, changing of his age or form, or any screwing with his mind. He hadn't heard of any strange things, anyway, nothing like the odd and dangerous things that took place on occasion. But maybe that was something to worry about? The phrase calm before the storm certainly came to mind in this case. It could be time to worry when things were quiet. He'd mulled on that for a bit as he continued the exercises but then realized there wasn't anything he could do about it in any case, so he then just focused on the task at hand.
Taking a few breaths, wiping a little sweat off his brow as he rose back on his feet then, he glanced around to see which would get his attention first. The treadmill was a good option now for a run. There were the weights, one could always use those. And of course the training dummies as well as the standard punching bag, that was one of his favorites. Yes... maybe that could be first now. So he approached the bag and got into a stance to prepare himself. Ready to start, he then proceeded to deliver firm punches to the surface, going for force and accuracy. This was followed by kicks of various types. Sidekicks, front kicks, roundhouse, etc. And then he mixed up combinations a bit... now that was his favorite part of this particular workout. He was always coming up with different attack formations. Never do the same pattern, keep your opponent guessing, surprise them if you can. Seemed a good tactic. Plus it kept him in shape as well as keeping his mind sharp as well. So he continued going through the motions of physical combat, deciding that he would take a break about fifteen minutes later and then likely move on to something else to do in this room.
