Jaz had been wishing to go home, but she was done. Yeah, she still missed Vayl, and she figured that if he were to end up here, it would have happened by then. And yeah, she wondered why she'd been brought here, but not him. But she was done with that now. This place needed her, probably more than Vayl did. And for all she knew, the fact that there were five more books left for her to read meant that there was still another her, wandering around there with him. So she'd be okay with being without him for a little while. Because like she'd said, this place needed her.
She was adjusting okay. Better than she'd thought she would. A lot of these people were good, nice people. There had been some that she'd grown to like, at least a little bit, through their conversations on the forums. Andrea and Ruby had been particularly nice to her. The dinner she'd had with Kate, Lavender and Jason had been nice, though she couldn't help but feel like she'd missed something. That and she was really looking forward to this 'fight club' thing if it took off, and strangely, hunter boot camp was another thing she looked forward to. But she needed to be out and around people. She'd spent too much time cooped up in her apartment lately.
She decided that the next day, she'd start looking for a job - something she probably should have done way before then, but it was as it was - another good way to come up with human interaction. And one she probably should have thought of before then. But for now, walking around town was a good start.
