"In case you've forgotten already? My family is bloody well filled to the brim with massive screw-ups." Ron smiled fondly at the thought. "Take Fred and George, for example. They run about playing pranks on everyone, break all the rules, spent most of their days pissing off the staff at Hogwarts - now they're practically rolling in galleons and it's all because of how screwed up they are." Ron tapped at the side of his head. "Mind you, they're all kinds of screwed up, yeah? I take it they're still fairly brilliant." That appeared to be quite the common theme where he came from. If you were mad, you were either brilliant or evil. There was no in between, honestly. Even Luna had her own level of brilliance, whether people wanted to believe that to be true or not. Ron could acknowledge it, even with how completely loony he thought she was. She was all right for a lunatic, wasn't she?
"The way I see it?" Ron tapped at the comic book she had been flipping through prior to his arrival. "Anyone who can have a series written about them isn't half bad. Especially not when they're the star of the series, right? You're decent, Steph. The world likes to mess with you is all. Happens to the best of us." Ron didn't like that she brought herself down so much. Then again, he wasn't exactly one to talk. It was different with him though. Ron wasn't as vocal about how he thought he could be rubbish sometimes. It mostly came out through the way he behaved and sometimes - rarely - he even said it. But for the most part, Ron liked to support other people (while secretly sulking like a loser).
"Right, well." Ron cleared his throat. He stepped back from the counter and puffed his chest out in a comical sort of way. "I can't blame you. Look at me." He winked at her. "I'm a stud!" As soon as the joke flew out, Ron ducked his head again and chuckled. "No, honestly, I get where you're coming from. I reckon that's why I like you so much. You're not like other girls, you know. Like Lavender -" Ron rolled his eyes. "- you know. You read the books. She wasn't all that right in the head, was she?"
