It wasn't like Stephanie was in a rush to get them to move in together and be all... you know, have a married life or anything. She was nineteen and hadn't known Ron very long at all. Really, she was fine with the occasional dates they went on. Not to mention when he stayed over from time to time. Yeah, Stephanie was fine with that alright. But the two of them hadn't even so much as talked about if they were allowed to see other people of if they wanted to be exclusive. No, Stephanie hadn't seen anyone else. She didn't really want to. But still. The option was still there if Ron wanted to date someone else. Steph wouldn't be able to complain if he did, after all. And not only that, but she would totally understand if he did want to date someone else. She wasn't even sure if what they were doing counted as dating.
Even though her face was still quite red Stephanie managed a small smile then. "Alright, then I'll keep wearing it." But only when she wasn't planning on being with him. Because she really didn't want to make things awkward when they were around each other. Most of the time they managed to keep that at bay, after all. "And hey, at least I know I've got a wizard at my back." Not that Steph needed a wizard at her back most of the time. Yeah, she did screw up and get herself in over her head way more often than she would like, but that was alright. She knew how to handle herself the rest of the time.
Besides. She could be pretty damn protective of the people she cared about, too.
