Ruby had the good sense to look sorry for it. And she even was in a way. The evening was going well and that kind of joke, much as it worked for her sense of humour Sam hadn't been happy about it.
"I'm sorry" she told him as soon as he'd ordered and the woman had left them, Lobster sounded fine, and should work with what they had to drink. "I didn't mean anything by it, you know that right?"
"Half and half could work, taste a bit of all of it and see what we like."
He was overlooking her little joke and Ruby decided to go ahead and be grateful for it. She was enjoying the evening far too much already to ruin it by being, admittidly quite amusingly, snarky.
"So, how much do we play up our celebrity, Should we comment on the napkins and how they're improperly folded" she asked, taking a sip of the wine "And how is it for you by the way" she asked, indicating his glass. "It wasn't a particularly strong choice but I didn't want it overwhelming the food"
