A part of her felt like she was out of her league. But another part-the bigger part, truth be told, relished what she was doing. Here she was, out on her own-for now-and doing something she enjoyed. Jo had always loved the Roadhouse, because it reminded her of her father. She loved hunting for that reason, too, though her mom didn't understand that quite as well. Yes, Jo had tried college a few years ago, but it hadn't taken long for her to figure out that she didn't fit in. As she'd once told her mom-she was just 'the freak with knife collection' there. Hunting was her first love, the Roadhouse second.
She was glad that her mom had decided to open up a second bar. She was even more glad that she was leaving most of the decisions up to Jo for the time being. The amount of trust her mother had begun putting in her since their home had been destroyed was overwhelming to Jo, and pleased her.
Currently, she sat on a stool at the bar, a clipboard full of papers in her arms as she watched a couple of guys add a railing. To them it seemed to be a strange place to have one, but part of what she wanted to do was disrupt things in the bar so that if anyone tried any weird magic, it wouldn't have much of an effect. Her carving knife was in her pocket-after the guys left she was going to go around and carve traps, symbols, hexes, anti-hexes, and wards all around the bar on the walls, then paint it over herself. The door currently stood open-it may have been cold and snowy out, but she kinda liked it, and liked looking out at the snow itself.
