It took a lot of will to keep the scowl firmly in place as he turned around with the food and the look. But Buffy had extreme practice at scowling at everything and everyone when she needed to, so the look didn't budge. He looked like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. And for some reason there was a piece of chicken involved too.
"Really." she said, shifting off the wall, her arms staying cross. "When, exactly? When you were about to head out the door?" she kept herself firmly planted in the doorway. "I'm a big girl Dean. I'm not about to fall into a state of hysterics or depression because you're going to do you job." she'd sulk, sure. And pout, and probably be grumpy until Dawn smacked her out of it. Or Xander smacked her out of it. Or Andrew. ...anyone who could get away with smacking her out of something. "Though I will get pissed off when I have to find out from someone I want to kill half the time."
There was a good chance she was always going to want to kill Ruby half the time, but that was besides the point. Why was it that everyone was in the know. "I realize I'm not part of your trio of locals, but you should have told me."
