And clearly Stephanie had been right. She started cooking and Ron woke up. Grinning, she turned to look back over her shoulder at him. "Morning!" she said, all wide awake already. That tended to happen when you accidentally bump your bare arm against a hot waffle iron for a second like she'd done a moment earlier. That sort of thing would wake a person right up.
"I hope you like waffles." Really, Stephanie was confident that Ron would like them. After all, this was Ron Weasley and Stephanie was sure he'd eat just about anything. "Because that's all I'm making this morning." It was all she made most mornings, really. But whatever. The waffle that had already been in the iron had cooked long enough and she quickly popped the top up and pulled the waffle out using two forks before plopping it down on the plate where she already had two other waffles piled up. It wasn't a hard process, it just depended on timing. And once you had the timing down it was a sinch.
"You can help yourself to whatever's in the fridge though," Stephanie added as she gestured at the fridge. Within a second she was pouring another ladel full of batter onto the iron and popping the lid down.
