"Thanks," Andrew said simply, smiling a bit more as he took his gift and held James' out to him in turn. Once he had his own gift in his hands he looked around for another second. "Is it, uh, okay if I sit down?" he asked as he gestured at and took a couple steps towards the couch. When James gave him a nod Andrew sat down. That grin was still on his face as he looked down at the gift that was now in his lap, still surprised that James had thought to get him anything.
"You can open yours first," he said, looking back over at James after a moment of somewhat awkward silence. One of these days, Andrew thought to himself, I'm not going to be such crap at talking to someone I like. At least he was at the point that he could admit to himself that he liked James. A lot. A few weeks earlier and Andrew wouldn't have even done that. No use admitting to things that would never come to fruition anyway.
Plus, Andrew just wanted to see if James liked his gifts. He wasn't positive, but he was pretty sure he'd heard James say something about liking Elvis before. And the journal... Andrew just thought it reminded him of James some. The wizard could use it for whatever he wanted to. The paper wasn't lined or anything.
