He still wasn't sure what to make of the complex's residents, only having met a few of them. So far, they weren't any crazier than the people Connor usually hung out with.
When Cal disappeared into his apartment, he took advantage of the moment to rearrange the load in his arms. A few more minutes and he could dump everything on the nearest piece of furniture and quit the balancing act. He grinned as Cal returned with the bottle. "Now that's the best sight I've seen so far," he said as he took the bottle. "This is decent stuff. Thanks. For the drink and the help." He nodded towards the hallway. "Suppose I should be finding myself a place to lie before the hallway starts looking good."
