Cal accepted the handshake, nodding once, "Yeah, she's one of the ones in charge, and actually the getting-in-the-door thing is our only test, which is better than some people who'd add splashing you with holy water, just to be sure." He shrugged then, "And you came to the right place if you're looking for somewhere to stay, basically any room that's still open is up for grabs, just pick one you like."
He ducked into the front office for a moment emerging again with a brown paper grocery bag, "And this is your starter kit, set of dishes, change of clothes, some soup, first aid kit, basic toiletries." Honestly he was surprised that they still had some, though the stock was dwindling somewhat from what they'd had when he first put them together, "Local bus map, touristy stuff so you can get the lay of the land."
He untied the amulet from where it was looped around one of the bag's handles, "Here, you should put that on, anti-possession charm. We've all got one, somewhere." There was another faint smile, looking tired himself, "It's a lot to take in all at once, I know, but better just get used to it now, or try and shut off the part of your brain that's going to freak out."
