Who: Kitty Pryde What: Arrival, confusion When: Late ening, shortly before sun set Where: Outside a high school Rating: PG Status: Incomplete
"Kitty look out!" she cold hear Storm's voice from somewhere behind her, causing her to turn as she ran though a car. A shower of bullets reigned down on her, passing right through her body. Continuing her sprint, she ducked behind a brick wall, allowing herself a break. Looking back and forth, she assessed her situation, and tried to get a hold on who was where within the simulation. To her right, she saw Bobby, to her left was Logan. Logan could handle himself. Turning right, Kitty darted out from behind the wall and ran toward her team mate.
But she never made it. From out of no where a car was literally thrown in front of her, and when she she ran through it and stepped out the other side, she stopped dead in her tracks. Kitty was standing in a parking lot. After a moment, she found the sign that told her which high school, but it meant nothing to her.
"Uh...guys?" she said, turning to look around, half expecting to see everyone gathering. "Hello?" but there was no answer. Simulations didn't end that quickly, usually she could literally see them pulling away, and this had happened to quickly. No, something wasn't right about this.
Scratching her head, she glanced back to the empty parking lot again, shifting her weight to one leg. "What?" she asked herself in confusion. What was this? Well what was she going to do now? Find a phone, obviously. One that didn't require her to pay, because her black X-Men uniform left no room for pocket change. Well she was going to attract attention, that was for sure. With a groan, Kitty started on a slow walk out of the pavement.
Ten minutes later she was cutting through a back parking lot of a building she was sure was a convenience store. She was almost around front when she stopped, having only a second to react. What looked like a black cloud was literally speeding toward her, and she barely managed to turn her face, phasing at the last second, causing the black smoke to pass right though her.
Eyes going wide, she had no idea what the was, but she wasn't sticking around to find out. Forgetting the corner store, Kitty took off on a full on sprint across the street and running through a chain link fence that was separating parking lots. For a while she kept running, through parking lots and walls, not stopping until her fear had gone down a few levels to make her think she might have got away.
