Faith found it a little weird that just because she'd been working a lot lately, Pike had thought she was avoiding him. If she really wanted to avoid him, she wouldn't have been coming home at all. Home. Since when had the motel become that? It had to be around the time that she'd finally realized how she'd felt about Pike, and when she'd figured out that no matter what she said or did, he'd still love her. It was an intense feeling. It was turning her soft, but...she was starting to find out that she didn't care all that much. Sure, she'd never be a goody-goody like B, but she was starting to believe that just maybe, it wasn't too late for her.
She had just finished up at the gym, kicking ass in another fight, and had delivered another payment to the garage that was hanging onto Pike's bike for her. She was buying it from the owner and had nearly finished paying it off. She was pretty sure she'd be done in time for Christmas, and she was a little proud of herself for actually getting all this done. She finished off the deal for the owner to deliver the bike to the motel overnight, complete with a big red bow she'd picked up-and she hadn't even punched the guy for smirking, even though she'd felt like it.
On the way home, she stopped at their old pizza place and picked up a pizza-topped with all the meat, as usual-for the two of them. Ten minutes later, she was letting herself into their room, chocolate eyes glancing around for him. "Yo. I'm back."
