"Often enough, dreams of the future less often. The dreams of past slayers are just sort of with us after we're called." They're just there, you're suddenly aware, or that was what she heard in many cases of girls that were called. Personally, she hadn't even been aware, but for some girls, the slayer-gig was like a smack to the face, or waking up for the first time.
Buffy shrugged, finishing off the last of the water and placing it near the sink. "Dunno, I don't really remember normal thoughts, I guess. It's just something you do get use to, it's not something we can turn off." and it wasn't something that bothered her, really. That was just how it was, she had those dreams, she was use to them. It was just part of being the Slayer. "It's not like that's all I dream about, it's just there. It's not scary...it's powerful." to be a part of something like that, to be a slayer, part of the slayer line, it was something special, something you had to experience to understand.
"Hm?" she said, looking up from the sink, confused for a moment. "Yeah." she said quickly, "Fine. Just startled. I've almost been killed that way before, it's not fun. Just needed to move to relax." she shrugged it off, it was nothing really, a glass of water, a few minutes and she'd be fine. Looking to the beer bottle Sam chose, Buffy arched an eyebrow. "Nice choice." she commented, nodding to the beer. "So what's keeping you up?" something had to be making him restless, that or his mind was all busy, or buzzing, or...something. She knew he had to have alot on his mind. Buffy wasn't aware of how the Lilith hunt was going, but she knew it was something that always had to be on his mind. Always. There was no way it wasn't, not with the amount of pressure that was on him.
