Well some things never changed, she thought to herself, more than a little proud of him right then. Not that it took much, Eve was often proud of him.
Lindsey was still fighting, still refusing to play at being anyones puppet. Not anymore, it was one of the things she admired most about him, and here they were in this strange new world. New powers in play, at war, and they, two of them in the middle, deciding what they needed to do and when they needed to help. It was power in its own way and Eve was more than happy to play it out with him and see where they wound up. They wouldn’t trust anyone else again. There was so little point. They weren’t to be trusted. Just like Angel they’d do what they felt they needed to.
She watched Lindsey with the syrup and smiled, getting her own pancakes and just working away at them without the terrifying amount of syrup he’d decided his needed. But he’d been right about the pancakes, they did taste amazing, and coffee was coffee, generic brand as it was, it did the job. She started eating as they spoke about the rest, about resumes. “If you can. I’ll see about getting a job. I’m sure I’d make an exceptional PA. What do you think? More to the point what do you do? I hope its at least vaguely challenging, I’d hate to see all that legal talent going to waste? “ He wouldn’t have the exams and stuff here, unless he’d forged that too, they could open a practice, she thought wildly. It probably wasn’t logical, but she’d enjoy being his PA she thought. “Any ideas on jobs for a girl whose never had to interview for one?”
