Eve had quickly come to the conclusion this place wasn't so bad. It had Angel and his lackys for convenient mocking, No Senior Partners or Powers that be and it had Lindsey. The last one was decidedly the deal maker. He was here, alive and well and he was coming to find her. She'd been so convinced she'd never see him again because the truth was she loved him. Their plans and schemes, their time together it had brought her closer to the man that she believed had originally seen her as a way to help him get back in, to get at Angel. But she'd been oh so willing to help, even before she'd gotten to know him. And he was brilliant. More so than he let on. She'd missed him, spending her last few minutes of life with recriminations of having told him not to trust the vampire notwithstanding.
All that was past. And as he spoke, that southern drawl prooving he could be no one else as he made his way toward her. Well, the drawl and the bracelet he wore. He always wore it, all the time she'd known him. She didn't hesitate, pulling him into a tight embrace as soon as he was close enough. It wasn't that she'd nearly lost him. She had lost him, and now she intended never to let go.
"I missed you" she managed to say. Not that she suspected she needed to say it. He'd know.
