Apparently, he was not the only one feeling better, and he smiled at her question. But, before he could reply, she was kissing him gently, the gesture striking him on a far more sensual level than he suspected she intended it. When she pulled back, he said, "It's not all I think about. I think about other things, too." Leaning forward, he kissed her with a bit more heat than she had, but still keeping it fairly light. "I just can't remember what they are right now."
He had no idea how he could be expected to think much at all with Marian looking at him that way. With one more kiss, he murmured, "You know exactly what I'm like." She was the unpredictable one of them both, but lately, that was a very good thing. And even when that had spelled trouble for him in the past, he still would not change it, since to do so would be to change her, and she was perfect the way she was.
