She let him move slightly so they could look at each other but kept her arms around his neck. She didn't want to let go, not yet. Not unless he couldn't bare to touch her but when he ran his thumbs along her cheeks she knew she was okay. He didn't hate her? That she didn't expect, she thought she would never have him wanting to be this close to her again and here he was wiping her tears away.
"No. No you were right to be so angry."
Pulling her hand along his shoulder to his cheek she began to run her hand and fingers over the roughness. She couldn't get one thing out of her head. And she had thought a lot about it whilst he had been away.
"We could try. I want to try," she said quietly, leaning in to kiss his forehead. "Let's try for that son, for a baby."
