He could not even say it. Bad enough that he had referenced it once, but the very idea threw him into a strange space that hovered between nausea and rage. But, perhaps it was not as awful as all that; they still might have residual, false memories, but if nothing had actually happened... "Not that I expect that. We were all given different lives and acted within them. But, if you were not... together, now would be an excellent time to mention it."
The amount of hope he had regarding that possibility was ridiculous, and he was aware of that. Still, it could mean that something was salvageable out of this disaster.
