River wasn't going to wonder for too long about what Eve was, she was different, and the seventeen year old found that oddly comforting. It was nice to not be the only one that was different, even though they were different in different ways. River looked away for a moment, up the road.
"People are lost." She commented. "Lots of them, lost like sheep and all flocking here, they don't know why...but they are." She really couldn't explain the pull but she knew that it was there. "It's calm now, but a storm is coming."
She looked back at Eve, nodding. "Simon looks after me, but sometimes I look after him." She told the woman. She saved his life recently, after he'd saved her so many times. She needed him here, but for now she would survive without him. She could do that much, she was a smart girl and very intuitive.
"Eve, like the first woman. Don't eat the apple from the tree, don't pay attention to serpent tongues."
