Vi held up the iron. "Right now, this is my best friend. Evil things dissipate when you swing it through them. I don't need much more right now." It wasn't entirely a joke but he could take it how he wanted. Hopefully that she wasn't a complete chicken. She really wasn't. Incorporeal ghosts terrorizing the building was just a new level of weird she wasn't prepared to deal with, even if some part of her felt she could.
"You do security proud." This time, the statement was a genuine compliment. "I'm not much of a ma'am though. It's a little too formal."
Now she just had to enter the bathroom. She'd already pushed the door open once and watched as it slowly shut, no response coming from within. Before it could shut, she inhaled deeply and pushed it all the way open again. Head up, she took a cautious step into the bathroom, sneakers scuffing quietly against the tiled floor.
A few steps inside, she paused and tilted her head, listening. Not a sound reached her ears. "You know, I probably was just imagining it. I'm sorry I was-" A thump behind her made her jump, spinning around with the iron tightly grasped in front of her, knuckles white. "There's something in here."
