He watched her fumble with the tire iron, worried more than anything. He could tell, and weirdly enough, he could really tell. He could almost sense it in her. Not to mention he felt strangely protective of her, like she reminded him of someone. Someone important. He couldn't get a fix on why just yet. But the girl was scared and that bothered him. "You still really shouldn't have that thing in your bag. I could have you fired in so many ways right now. But honestly I think you'd be grateful wouldn't you. Just to get out of this place"
She'd indicated down the hallway. That she'd sensed something. That perhaps she'd found something to be afraid of, and Jacen's inquisitive mind wanted to find out just what it was. She had iron and he... He had powers he was just discovering now. A whole multitude of them. He was entirely willing to go hunting the ghosts. Just like those men had suggested. Iron and rocksalt were one thing. But Jacen felt power inside him like he'd never imagined. It was almost overwhelming.
"You could come with me and we could look?" he suggested, "Go after the...whatever they are. We could try and stop it. Of course if you'd rather leave taking your weapon with you. I could make sure you get out safe and come back myself?." He didn't know if she was that curious. If maybe she'd find the whole thing as facinating as he did. He sort of hoped so.
