The dream-guy started mumbling to himself just as the security lights came on. In the dim, reddish glow, Rob turned around to see what he was doing; if he tried to kill himself, Rob wasn't sure what he'd do. Try to stop him, sure, but his options were fairly limited in a stuck elevator. And if he tried to kill Rob-- well, he sincerely hoped it didn't come to that, since he had no intention of dying anytime soon.
Keeping an eye on his muttering companion, he pushed the alarm button... and nothing happened. He pushed it again, with the same lack of results.
Biting back the string of expletives he felt like muttering, he pulled his mobile out of his pocket.
"What, is this thing lead-lined or something?" he exclaimed in frustration, banging his hand on the wall of the elevator as he stared at the lost-signal icon on his screen. Looking warily to the other man, he asked, "How about you, can you get a signal? Because otherwise, we are stuck."
He wasn't going to respond to the thing about ghosts. Maybe if they didn't say it, it wouldn't happen.
