"So you say" he responded coldly. He was right. He knew he was right, and no matter what she said, no mattter how much she was hurting. No matter how much it might nag at him to see his sister like this. He wasn't going to regret what he'd done. It had kept Allana safe. But Jaina looked so small smaller than usual even. Just curling in on herself and wishing that someone would tell her that this was all a joke. That her brother hadn't given himself to the dark. Her twin. The other half of her.
"I still feel like your brother. And much as I know it hurts you. Much as I know you don't ever want to admit whats happened. I hope you still see me that way too. It doesn't mean I'm going to be who I was. Can you deal with that? How much will it hurt you to consider?"
He knew what she wanted from him. She wanted Jacen. And while he couldn't give her the twin she'd left behind back home. He could give her something, because he really didn't hate her. He never could. "Stand up Jaina" he said, as softly as he could manage, holding his arms out offering to hug her. Show her that much as he didn't need who he had been, he still loved the people he had. And Jaina was still the other half of him.
