Jack was starting to get the hang of the city. The way things worked were different then home. He should have known that from the start though. Being from the future, stuck in the past things were guaranteed to run differently. And worse he resisted it for the longest time until Bobby's Camp. But thanks to it he was starting to settle in nicely, and even made a few friends. He understood that being a power ranger wasn't local law norm. He couldn't just go to the police force and expect them to know who he was or what he was. They just wouldn't. This wasn't his world. Not all of it was bad though. The food was a hell of a lot better. The people were interesting.
Dogs didn't talk. He didn't have his commander in his ear at all times barking-no pun intended, orders. Okay, maybe that pun was a little intended. But apparently in 2009 it was okay to be flippant toward supervisors and superiors. At least that's what Jack was getting from watching the way the complex was run. It wasn't that he had anything against it, or that it was even bad. It was just..if they'd tried to act the way they did on the boards at the ranger academy? They'd have been thrown out on their first day. It amused him to a degree. Because it reminded Jack of how he once was when he first arrived at S.P.D. All unruly and out of line, saying whatever stupid thing came to his mind infront of his commander. To another it was confusing. But he tried not to think about it to much, it wasn't his team to run. Buffy seemed to have it down, and how? He had no idea. She had the patience of a saint. Or so it seemed on the outside to him.
He was coming out of the kitchen when there was suddenly a movement out of the corner of his eye and Jack leaned back to peer through the doorway. A girl. A cute girl with her hand on what looked like a lightsaber hilt. Looking around to see if anyone else was coming, not wanting to interrupt her incase she was waiting for someone, he slid into the lobby with an apple in hand he'd been munching on and raised an eyebrow. "Can I help you?"
