Kara ignored the drug comment, she just stared him down, as if waiting for him to suddenly react and reveal that he was, in fact, Zod. But nothing, just nothing but human ignorance to the fact that this planet wasn't the only one that could sustain some sort of life. She went right on ignoring his jabs and space men comments, though it was all helping to reassure her that he wasn't Zod, as much as he looked and sounded like him.
He was too human, in his demeanor. Zod could learn fast, but not this fast. And frankly she was pretty sure he'd never act this way even if he was pretending to be just be a human. Kara raised her head ever so slightly, almost as if she was passing judgment, and then she took one step back. He hadn't been freaked out by how she moved quickly, which wasn't a point to ward 'not Zod.' But everything else was.
"Fine, Mason." she'd believe him, at least for now. "But if I do find out you're just him, trying to blend in, I will find you again, and I will stop you. Just so we're perfectly clear." She probably wasn't that intimidating looking. Maybe she really did need to start wearing the cape and skirt and make a name for herself. It might make the whole 'scaring people' thing more effective. Maybe it was just something about the colours. Or the shield.
