Sarah Connor wished she could be surprised at this. She actually was, not that she'd openly admit it. Or even privately. She had been transported to another time and place before. But the last time it happened, she had jumped ahead eight years and knew it was happening. This was completely without her knowledge. There had been no warning. No countdown, no blue sphere of light around her. Unless.. no, she'd stepped out of the radius of it in Weaver's basement. And she doubted she had jumped forward yet another eight years. If she had, then her surroundings would be much different. There would be ruins, rubble everywhere, similar to a war zone. With overhead flying machines known as HKs scouting above. But that wasn't it. It just seemed as normal as any other region in the world. It clearly wasn't Los Angeles. She could see that much as she took in her surroundings, also noting that exits were available in several directions.

She also still had her clothes, so that was another sign that this was unique. She still had her boots, jeans, shirt, and leather jacket. Not to mention the pistol on her side, hidden by the jacket. That told her right away that Skynet or the Resistance was not involved in this, in any way. It had to be something else. But what? That's what she needed to find out. She was currently on a road. So she'd keep walking until she saw a sign. And sure enough, she had found one that indicated she was in Lawrence, Kansas. Sarah wondered if that was a joke or irony. One of the cover stories she'd given John when starting school last year was that he came from Lawrence. Maybe she could use that same cover. The fact that she suddenly showed up miles away from her original point was still a bit surprising. There had to be someone that could give answers.

But then she had an idea. She still had her phone. She could call up James Ellison. Last time she'd seen the former Fed, he had went to get Savannah Weaver.. maybe he could come get her and bring her back. It would be quite a long drive. Though he did mention before about needing to repay her for saving his life. Maybe it was time to call in that favor. But then if they discovered she was in contact with him, a machine would be able to use him to get to her, and then get to John. Maybe if she were brief, say as little as possible so it wasn't traced. So she dialed the number and her cell and cautiously held it to her ear. "April 21st," she spoke into it. That was her code. One side gives the date and the other gives the year. But she didn't know the current date, so she settled for Judgment Day. But there was static on the other end. She ended it and tried again. "2011!" But still the same problem. There was only white noise on the other side of the line. Frustrated, she held the device in her hand after hanging up, shaking her head as she swore to herself. This was not good at all.

Caprica saw the expression. The heightened heart rate. The general attitude of, 'I don't know what I'm doing here' that indicated that this woman was new to the place. She was dressed similarly to the people of this world but it was how she held herself. Talking into her phone, worriedly. Caprica knew the attitude, and determined that it was entirely likely this woman was new to here. She walked across the street catching up to her and spoke clearly as she got a little closer. She didn't want to frighten or spook her, but weirdly, she didn't think she would. The woman seemed worried as she'd seen. But...somehow it didn't seem to Caprica that she'd have to deal with hysterics. Which was good. She didn't like hysterics. She had to admit she was glad Gaius was over that kind of thing now.

Now how to explain all of this, how to begin. "Not where you're supposed to be?" she said simply. "My name is Caprica, and if you'll let me I can help you figure this place out. Now as odd a question as this may sound. What year do you think it is?" She didn't ask what world. She figured by the manner of dress and the cellphone, she didn't have to. And the fact that the woman was reacting quite well to the prospect of being thrust forward in time confused her a little. Even though she had learned very quickly that this place was like that. One never knew what to expect. Kept you on your toes, she supposed. She would have to explain the seal things, and demons. It might have been easier if she'd attended the camp yet. She hadn't been and wasn't going to be until after the human holiday about conquest and thankfulness. Which she didn't understand. But she was informed there was a party.

She wasn't going to think about that kind of thing now though. She'd said she was here to help humanity through this war. So this was her, helping.

Sarah turned, looking at the woman who had spoken to her. Well.. now wasn't she helpful. She wasn't sure how to react to that. How did she know Sarah had just shown up out of the blue? How did she know. WHo was she, what was she? Maybe Caprica had showed up here mysteriously as well? Which would mean that Sarah wasn't the only one in this predicament. She looked her over, as well as glancing around for a brief moment. Several exits. That was good. Of course she had already just noticed them beforehand, but it never hurt for her to check again. Things could change any minute. It was one thing she knew for a fact by now. Know your exits. Always have a plan. Be prepared for anything.

"Sarah," she said simply. No last name, just Sarah. She took a deep breath as she crossed her arms. One reason was out of habit. The other, her hand was close enough to pull the gun from under her jacket if it came to that. "I know it's not 2011. There's nothing on fire." That was probably as much as she would allude to about it. "But the last time I checked, it was spring in the year 2008. I need to find someone."
