Instead of standing off to the side, Eliot only took a few steps back and crouched down, elbows resting on his knees. He remained silent, watching not the bag but her, how she moved and made contact. After a few minutes had passed, he stood up again and moved behind her, putting a hand out so that her elbow didn't collide with his stomach when she pulled back.
"Widen your stance just a little," he told her, tapping the inside of her left knee. "It'll help your balance. You're looking good." The compliment paid, he motioned for her to keep going again.
"Keep going until you feel like taking a nap instead of killing someone," he said, crouching down again in the same position. "Because as long as you're saying that, I'm going to make you keep hitting that." He nodded to the bag.
