Riku shrugged a bit then. "I've got no idea why it let you hold it longer," he said simply, even though really, it wasn't quite true. He did know that it had something to do with the strength of one's soul, something like that. But he didn't like saying that sort of thing out loud because it just sounded, to put it simply, retarded. And like something Sora would babble on about. And if nothing else, Riku really didn't want to sound like his overly cheerful and optimistic friend. "But I do know that it comes back to me because of the fact that, as dumb as it sounds, it's part of me." He even winced a little at those words. God, that sounded horrible. And after lifting the keyblade to look it over himself once more, he simply opened his hand. But instead of dropping it like would have happened when most people randomly opened their hands while holding things, it disappeared completely, slowly vanishing with a bit of a glow.
