Who: Anna What: Run in with some demons When: Afternoon, after school gets out Where: Outside a high school Rating: PG-13 Status: Complete
Teenagers ran by, yelling, laughing, talking about the newest homework assignment from hell. Some of them ran pretty close to her, but none of them actually reached within a foot of her. Anna gazed up at a high school, that at one point would have reminded her more of a prison than a school. She was pretty sure the building could go into complete lock down and keep everyone in if it had to. Though looking into environments teenagers had to learn in was not why she was here. There was a demon in there. It had taken the body of a science teacher. No wonder the kid back there thought his science teacher was evil. Recently possessed, and keeping up with school in order to not draw attention to the body. But it was here to look into the new comers. And Anna was here to look into it.
By now the demons had to know there was an Angel in town, maybe they even knew what she looked like. Either way, she was going to see what she could get from this one. And at the very least, free the science teacher.
She went in the front door, once teenage boy holding open the door for her with a slight wink. Anna arched one eyebrow, but went in, and then didn't look back. She went through the hallways, ignoring the lingering students who pretty much ignored her as well. She passed by one teacher who looked at her curiously, but Anna did nothing past give her a slight nod.
When she stepped into the science lab, she closed to the door behind her. The demon, its true face visible to Anna, sat at its desk, writing something on a pad of paper. "Extra help is tomorr..." it trailed off as it looked up slowly, and then laid eyes on Anna. You could almost see the 'oh shit' expression cross its face. This wasn't a high up demon. It was nobody, someone who knew it didn't really stand a chance of Anna got her palm on him.
"The Fallen Angel." it said, standing up from his desk.
"In a way." she said with a shrug. "I can still kill you, however." she still had her grace, all of her power. Just because she didn't work for her superiors anymore didn't mean she was powerless. As she approached, the demons eyes narrowed, and kept the desk between them. "That desk won't save you." she informed him. With hardly a flick of her fingers, it blew out of the way, slamming against some desks. That would attracted attention. All the doors to the room locked.
"Now." Anna said. "Let's chat."
The chat didn't really go over that well. In no time it turned into a fight, and the demon knew it didn't stand much of a chance. The noises in the room had attracted attention, and people were trying to get in, but the doors weren't budging. Finally, Anna landed a hand on his forehead, and she looked down at him with cold eyes as her power flooded his body, and then killed the demon. The body dropped to the floor, and lay there. He was still breathing. He'd be okay.
"ERIC!" she heard voices yelling, pounding. "Open the door!" and Eric stirred. "You'll be alright." she said gently. There was the sound of wind, lights flickered, and she was gone. The doors finally blew open, and Eric's co-workers rushed in to see what had happened. </center>
