Stepping out of the kitchen, Sam could already hear Ruby calling out for help. Trap the demonic girlfriend? Check. Step two - that being convincing said demonic girlfriend to talk - was going to be a lot more difficult. He wasn't going to say that it would be more complicated, because trapping Ruby in itself was enough of a personal dilemma as it was already. He didn't like doing it. But if this was the only way he was going to get answers out of her? So be it. It wasn't like he planned on keeping her in there forever or actually causing her any harm. Sam just wanted to talk. Reaching the room that he'd drawn the trap in, Sam stepped through the doorway and moved inside. He looked Ruby over briefly, checking to make sure that she was effectively rooted where he'd drawn the trap. It looked like she was. Yeah, Ruby wasn't going anywhere. Then he turned, pushed the door shut behind himself, and locked it. No intrusions. This was between the two of them.
"Sorry," Sam said, kneeling down to set the beers aside on the floor. He straightened up and slid his hands into the pockets of his jeans, shoulders falling into a slightly awkward stance. He felt bad. He really did. "I didn't wanna have to do this. But you aren't exactly giving me much of a choice here. You can't avoid me forever. And you're not going to. We need to talk and we're doing it now."
Probably not what she wanted to hear. But at least it was him trapping her and not someone else. Although Sam didn't know if that made the situation better. Personally? He found that it had the ammunition to make everything all the more worse. Biting down onto his lip, Sam gestured toward the trap with a hand. "Maybe you should sit down."
