Leela. Of all the people that could have arrived here she was eternally glad it was her friend, confidante and bodyguard Leela. She knew things had gotten harder between them. Romana's last regeneration had been a cold woman even after Pandora's influence had left her. The War Queen of Gallifrey they'd called her, Even the Doctor hadn't liked her much as she was then. She didn't regret that time or the orders she'd given. Even if one decision did play heavier on her mind than any of the others. The Master and granting him freedom. And now she had to meet Leela, bring her to the apartments. Tell her of the Time War, of the Dalek threat. Of Rasillion's return and how he'd deposed her, she'd been lucky to escape with her life.
It didn't take the Time Lady long to follow K-9's directions. He may not have been her K-9 Unit but all the same Romana instantly trusted the little fellow having known him from Gallifrey, always by Leela's side as hers had been to her. Not that they'd gotten on well or anything. But Romana had had to leave hers behind when Rasillion had taken everything from her.
A dark shadow crossed her eyes, one that she forced away. She had to have this conversation and she had to do it right. Leela had the right to know the fate of the Gallifreyans, And Andred, did she know his eventual fate. She would, Pandora, she'd know that. Leela hadn't blamed Romana, but all the same...
She finally spotted the woman, dressed unsuprisingly in her leathers and accompanied by K-9. The first model.
"Leela" she called, "K-9! It's Romana" They of course wouldn't know what she looked like, but who else would know them to call them by name. They didn't know about the fiction of their dimension either. But she'd wait to tell her that. Most important was the Time War. She wondered could Leela see it in her eyes, or would she pass it off as the trials of the Civil War.
How many horrors did Romana have to tell her friend.
