Who: Caprica Six and Gaius Baltar What: Finally a chance to settle in Where: Their shared apartment When: 3rd November, Evening Rating: TBD Status: In Progress
She was herself again, and honestly and truly she'd never felt happier to look like every other Six model out there, wherever her sisters were. It was distressing to think about sometimes, where they might be. If they were happy, If things in the settlements were going well. She suspected they were, even without her and Gaius. But she was here now. She was here and he was here and they were safe. As safe as anyone could be in a world hurtling toward the end of days, and in a world where one could wake up and be a ginger teenage boy. She still wasn't sure how that had happened, but Gaius had been as good as his word and hadn't let the boy do anything too wild in her body.
Even if she didn't want to look at food for at least a week. What had the boy eaten??
She looked herself over in the mirror, almost reassuring herself that in two days he couldn't have done any real damage. She'd just work a little harder for a few days and she'd be fine. That man, the...what was he, Trickster, had mentioned it was a lesson. What lesson was she supposed to have learned beyond teenage humans did in fact only think about sex and food. She'd known that. And it wasn't just teenagers.
She regarded Gaius fondly as she walked back into the living space of their apartment. The One she'd dealt with on Caprica had believed her too attached to the man, and she had been, even then. Saving his life when the bombs hit. Of course it had taken them time to fix their relationship. His selfishness and cowardice had driven her away. Her brief...whatever it had been with Tigh, her father in more ways than he was anything else a mistake to think of now. It had only brought her heartbreak in the end. A life that was never meant to have been.
But Gaius had proved himself to her, the selfishness cast aside when it mattered. And he'd been so very brave.
It was possible they could find happiness here, he didn't have to farm, he didn't have to do anything if he didn't want to. But he'd chosen to help, to fight, as she was. Because maybe they owed humanity. Maybe they both could use this place as a chance. Helping humanity, looking out for Sharon, they'd be okay.
"I think this place is trying to drive us mad. I think thats the lesson" she said, crossing to make herself a herbal tea. She'd grown quite fond of them. "And you're taking me shopping later. Just so you're aware. Shopping for our home. I'd like things...regular house things, You'd know better than me what to get"
Shopping with Gaius could be fun. Much as he might hate it. He could hold the bags.
