Merlin had been drifting in that awkward place between sleeping and waking, trying to shake this weird feeling that something was wrong. His eyes had opened briefly to groggily note that his sheets were the wrong color, the room a bit bigger, and he felt a little tired even though he'd gone to sleep early. Merlin wasn't too bothered though because he was very comfortable, and more then happy to doze off a while longer. Which was why he didn't react immediatly to Marian, deciding that he was clearly dreaming. Which worked until she nipped at his ear. His eyes opened real quick, going wide at the sight of some strange woman laying beside him. A strange sort of surprised 'oh!' escaped him as he quickly untangled himself from her and scrambled to his feet.
The blankets had been his only cover from the waist down, and now they were gone. A fact he noticed while trying to figure out why standing had felt different then usual, and he didn't remember looking like - well, like he did now - which obviously made just as much sense as waking up in a strange bed with a strange woman and not knowing how he got there.
"I'm sorry!" he apologized quickly, turning bright red, and pulling the blankets away to wrap around himself. "OH! I'm so so sorry! Here!"
Merlin had taken the blankets to cover himself only to realize he wasn't the only on in a state of undress, his gaze lingering briefly before giving the blankets back and putting a hand over his eyes. "Sorry. Gods... Where am I? How did I - where are my clothes?"
With his hand still shielding his eyes as he searched the floor, apologizing repeatedly, and wondering what the hell kind of place this was. It wasn't even safe going to sleep anymore. And he was still naked. Why was he naked!? He found a pair of pants that looked too big, but they seemed to fit alright, which was nice and the size difference was the least of his worries.
