Oliver Pike ([info]notafishie) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
Pike watched her for a moment, a fond little smile playing over his lips for a moment. She may have doubted herself, but he didn't. He wouldn't. Corny as it may be, he had faith in Faith. Maybe it was stupid, to have that kind of faith in a person, but honestly Pike found it less idiotic than putting your money on a higher power. Most of them were inscrutable dicks, no matter the world. At least people were understandable.

He moved over to his side of the bed, dropping clothes as he went. He actually wasn't expecting anything, but he liked feeling Faith's skin on his, even if they were just snuggled up against each other. Her warmth was intoxicating in any way, shape, or form. He smiled when she looked up at him and gave her a little playful look like there was never any doubt he was coming, because in his mind, there wasn't. Where she went, so did he.

Plus he was tired too.

He slid into the bed beside her. He felt her shying away and slid his arm around her, pulling her close. Instead of saying anything, he just draped one arm over her waist and another around her shoulders and smiled reassuringly at her. It was going to be okay.
