He didn't like this many people. Not at all, it wasn't right, it made things harder. He'd have to let her free, and he really didn't want to have to do that. It would be so much worse if he had to do that. So instead he tried again. Tried the nice approach knowing just how much worse the alternative was. No one would get hurt his way. If she'd just come with him. If that woman with the gun stopped staring. If the others got out of his way. If he could be more persuasive. Anything. He wasn't very good at any of this.
"I want to talk to her though. Buffy she said, she wanted me to run some things by..."
He was bad at this. Lying in front of so many. The woman with the gun in particular. The gun and the child. A child. He didn't want to let Glory out with a child. But she told him she wouldn't go for the child. She'd just grab Dawn. Grab her and run. That was okay wasn't it. He could believe that cause she needed him. He moved across the room still keeping casual and as soon as he reached her, her and the boy holding her hand. The boyfriend he expected...
He let Glory free.
Shaking out her hair the god smirked.
"Dawnie. You could have made this easy. You could have made this so much easier by going with Gentle Ben. But oh no, no oh no. You had to be sensible. Listen to your sister or whatever. But fine. Do it the hard way. Either way? You bleed today. I'm sick of waiting."
